Wind farm Viru-Nigula, Estonia, 24 MW |

The wind farm “Viru-Nigula” is located at the northern coast of Estonia, some 125 km east of Tallinn. The distance to the sea border is around 7 km and the height above sea level is around 60 m.
The project development started in 2004 with a wind measurement, the planning- and permission phase was finished in autumn 2005.
The building works started in 2006, since late 2007 the wind farm is in operation. A total number of 8 turbines of type WinWind WWD-3 with a total capacity of 24 MW is connected through its own substation to the national grid. |

Wind farm Ajos, Finland, 39 MW |

The wind farm „Ajos“ is located at the northern coast of the gulf of Bothnia near the city Kemi and the border to Sweden. The turbines are located on artificial islands in shallow waters and along the coast line.
Since 2006 a total number of 13 turbines of type WinWind WWD-3 with a nominal capacity of 39 MW have been erected in two building phases, since 2008 the wind farm is working under full capacity.

The wind farm „Vanaküla“ is located at the west coast of Estonia approx. 80 km southwest of Tallinn at a distance of 2 km to the sea border.
The development of the wind farm started in 2006 with a wind measurement, followed by planning- and permission phase. Together with a neighboured wind farm a joint substation was planned and erected. The building works started in 2008 and were finished in 2009 with the operation of the wind farm.
