Realized Projects in Estonia
Wind farm Viru-Nigula, Estonia, 24 MW
The wind farm “Viru-Nigula” is located at the northern coast of Estonia, some 125 km east of Tallinn. The distance to the sea border is around 7 km and the height above sea level is around 60 m.
The project development started in 2004 with a wind measurement, the planning- and permission phase was finished in autumn 2005.
The building works started in 2006, since late 2007 the wind farm is in operation. A total number of 8 turbines of type WinWind WWD-3 with a total capacity of 24 MW is connected through its own substation to the national grid.

Main data of the wind farm:
| Projected power output: | 24 MW |
| Number of units: | 8 units of type WinWind WWD-3 with 3 MW |
| Average wind speed: | 6.7 m/s |
| Yearly energy yield: | 59.000.000 kWh/a |
| Investment costs: | 25.600.000 € |
| Specific investment costs: | 1.070.000 €/MW
~0,437 €/kWh |
| Start of operation: |
Start of operation: end of 2005 |
Sorry, but the project is sold! Access for investors closed.
Wind farm Vanaküla, Estonia, 9 MW
The wind farm „Vanaküla“ is located at the west coast of Estonia approx. 80 km southwest of Tallinn at a distance of 2 km to the sea border.
The development of the wind farm started in 2006 with a wind measurement, followed by planning- and permission phase. Together with a neighboured wind farm a joint substation was planned and erected. The building works started in 2008 and were finished in 2009 with the operation of the wind farm.

Main data of the wind farm:
| Projected power output: | 9 MW |
| Number of units: | 3 units of type WinWind WWD-3 with 3 MW |
| Average wind speed: | 7,2 m/s at 100 m hub height |
| Yearly energy yield: | 25.000 MWh |
| Investment costs: | 11.650.000 € |
| Start of operation: |
2009 |
The project is closed for investors.
We started the construction works in spring 2008.
